UNLV researchers now have two new opportunities to publish open access articles without paying publication fees.

If you are a student unable to register for summer classes due to a MyUNLV hold applied to your account by the library, you can get the hold temporarily lifted by filling out a Fee Appeal Form from the library website. 

Holds will be lifted on individual accounts by request through Saturday, May 16, 2020. Please allow up to one business day for Fee Appeal Form to be acted upon.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, University Libraries facilities are closed and access to the physical collections is unavailable. The Libraries is committed to maintaining services and providing needed resources through virtual access. 

If you need materials that are held in the Libraries please request them through the Libraries Inter-Library Loan (ILL) services. You will need an ILLiad account to make a request. If you do not have one, instructions for creating an account can be found online.

Did you know UNLV undergraduate students can win up to $1,000 for your final research paper or class project? Applications are now being accepted for the 2020 Lance and Elena Calvert Award for Undergraduate Research offered annually by the University Libraries.

An overwhelmingly positive response from UNLV students, along with a reduction in safety incidents, has led the University Libraries to permanently implement Rebel Hours at Lied Library during the spring and fall semesters.
