About
The Multimedia Production Studios at Lied Library include four audio production studios and one video production studio. These spaces support the creation of podcasts, music recordings, video presentations, and other types of multimedia research and creative activity.

How to use studios
Recording spaces are intended for those UNLV students, faculty, and staff who are creating, editing, or transferring media. You will be asked to forfeit your reservation if you are using them for reasons other than those listed. For more information, please read the Multimedia Production Studios Guidelines.
- Reservations are required.
- You must have a valid ACE login to access the equipment and software.
- All recording spaces are open during Lied Library hours.
- To enter Lied Library when Rebel Hours are in effect guests are required to present a valid UNLV or NSHE ID or schedule an appointment at least two days in advance.
Reserve a studio
First-time users must watch the orientation video and take a short quiz before making a reservation.
Library staff cannot make changes to an existing reservation. For any adjustments or cancellations, please refer to the confirmation email you receive with your original booking.

Below you will find a list of the hardware and software found in our studios. Additional equipment such as headphones, video cameras, microphones, etc. can be checked out at the Circulation desk on the first floor of Lied Library. Refer to the Technology Lending at Lied page for a list of available equipment.

Rooms 1225 and 1226 are designed for recording podcasts, interviews, and other spoken work, as well as group video editing. These rooms include three microphones and a computer workstation with recording and editing software.

Rooms 1223 and 1224 are designed for recording and producing music projects. These rooms are equipped with one microphone and additional production technology such as studio monitors and MIDI controllers.

The video recording space in room 1222 is a space designed for recording presentations, dramatic scenes, interviews, and other video content. The room includes the use of a camera, green screen, gray backdrop, large monitor, and computer workstation for presentations and retrieving files.
