Special Collections & Archives Completes Work on NHPRC Grant “America’s Great Gamble”

Special Collections and Archives project staff recently completed work on the National Historical Publications & Records Commission (NHPRC) grant-funded project, “America’s Great Gamble: A Project to Promote the Discovery of Sources About the Expansion of Legalized Gambling Across the United States.” The $129,600 grant allowed SCA to hire two full-time project archivists, and two student assistants who were able to process and describe four of our most significant modern gaming collections.

Celebrate Special Collections & Archives 50th Anniversary

You are invited to attend our campus celebration to commemorate 50 years of Special Collections and Archives on Thursday, November 16 at 2:30 p.m. in the Lied Library lobby. We will have remarks from University Libraries Dean Maggie Farrell, Senior Vice Provost Carl Reiber, and Director of Special Collections and Archives Michelle Light. We'll be serving special 50th anniversary cupcakes and inviting everyone to explore our 50 Treasures for 50 Years exhibit.
