We are thrilled that the work of Special Collections staff has been the subject of recent feature articles in the local Las Vegas press:

The French Connection exhibit curated by Karla Irwin was highlighted in the Las Vegas Weekly : UNLV Exhibit Takes Historical Look at the Feather-Decked Icon of the Vegas Showgirl.

Peter Michel's exhibit on mid-century modern homes in Las Vegas is chronicled in another Las Vegas Weekly article: Looking at the Role of Mid-Century Modern in Las Vegas.  Peter also appeared in a Channel 3 Video Vault local history segment with Tom Hawley discussing the exhibit.

Perhaps most exciting of all, our colleague Claytee White, Director of the Oral History Research Center, was named as "Best Keeper of Our History" by Vegas Seven magazine!
