Women's History Month Spotlight: Judy Garland

Today’s spotlight is on famous singer and actress, Judy Garland! Born Frances Ethel Gumm in Grand Rapids, Minnesota on June 10, 1922, Garland began an early singing career at just the age of 2 with her sisters. Her most notable acting performance was in The Wizard of Oz (1939) as she played Dorothy Gale. You might also know her from A Star is Born (1954) and Meet Me in St. Louis (1944). Garland received an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and a Grammy in her lifetime. She has received other awards even after her passing in 1969. As well as her acting career, Garland’s unique singing voice can be found on her 9 studio albums!
