UNLV Libraries has received a $10,000 Library Services & Technology Act (LSTA) grant to purchase 46 electronic reference titles that will support the curricular and research needs of students and faculty. The LSTA grant is funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and administered by the Nevada State Library, Archives and Public Records.
The electronic reference materials cover a variety of disciplines, including arts and humanities, social sciences, business, science, technology, engineering and medicine.
This expanded reference collection will expand the currency and availability of authoritative information for basic and in-depth research, serving as a go-to resource for quick facts, background information, and guidance in locating other sources.
These resources are essential for helping students and faculty gain foundational knowledge on a topic while ensuring equitable access to expensive materials such as encyclopedias and specialized dictionaries.
