Game Jam 2025

Have an idea for a new physical board or card game? Get help bringing it to life during Game Jam 2025 at Lied Library. A game jam is an event where people come together to create their own games.

Five teams of 2-3 students each will compete to build a physical game using resources from the Makerspace in Lied Library. Community-wide voting will determine the winner.

The theme for this year's Game Jam is Lied Library.

Register your team (up to three individuals). The registration deadline is Friday, September 12 at 5 p.m.

A Game Jam kickoff event will take place on Monday, September 15 at 10 a.m. in the Makerspace at Lied Library. Team members should complete a Makerspace Orientation prior to the kickoff.

Teams will have from September 15 - October 13 to design and finalize their game prototype. UNLV students, faculty, and staff will have an opportunity to play each game and vote for their favorite.

The Game Jam 2025 winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Wednesday, October 22 at Lied Library.
