New Libraries Study Pods Offer Alternative Classroom Space For Students

Four Study Pods
Four Study Pods are available for students to reserve in Lied Library.

UNLV students will have access to four new study pods in Lied Library through a Library Services & Technology Act/American Rescue Plan Act grant, administered by the Nevada State Library, Archives & Public Records.

The pods, which are now open, are designed for individual students to complete their coursework, participate in remote classes, give presentations, or focus with minimal distractions.

Each pod is equipped with an adjustable-height stool and desk, adjustable lighting and fan, and built-in power with an AC and USB-C plugs. In addition, each pod has acoustical features to keep things quiet inside.

Reservations are required. Students can submit reservations for up to 3 hours at a time, and up to 14 days in advance.

The pods are located near the southeast corner of Lied Library's 3rd floor, at the end of the Flo Mlynarczek gallery. The additional individual study pods provide another type of study space within the Libraries to support student learning at UNLV.
