In 2022, the School of Medicine Library (SOML) began a pilot fund to support scholarly activities by Faculty, Residents, and Fellows affiliated with the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV. Since then, the SOML has issued fund awards to help author teams publish on a variety of topics within the biomedical and academic health sciences. Funding is made possible each fiscal year through the library's collections budget.
This year, the SOML Open Article Fund will open on August 31st. Faculty, residents, and fellows who have not received an award in the last 12 months are eligible to apply. We will be distributing 5 awards to author teams. Be sure to check our library guide to view and submit your application once the window opens. Awards will be available first come, first serve.
