Food for Fines Exceeds Goal, Eliminates Undergraduate Overdue Fines

Stacks of canned food on the shelves at the UNLV Food Pantry.

Thanks to the generosity of the UNLV community, the Food for Fines program has surpassed its goal, collecting more than 600 donated items for the UNLV Food Pantry.

As a result, the University Libraries will forgive all current undergraduate student overdue library fines. The donations will help address food insecurity on campus while removing a financial barrier for students.

Food for Fines is a partnership among the University Libraries, the Teaching and Learning Commons and the UNLV Food Pantry. The Libraries thank everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s program.
