It’s Orientation Season!

Welcome new medical students and residents/fellows!

We are excited to welcome our new medical students, residents, and fellows as you begin this exciting stage of your training. The School of Medicine Library is here to support your learning, research, and clinical practice with expert assistance, study spaces, and access to a wide range of resources. We look forward to partnering with you throughout your journey and encourage you to reach out whenever you need help. Best wishes for a successful and rewarding year!

Connect with your Liaison Librarian

You may have already seen our liaison librarians during your orientation session sharing important information about the library, but we know those moments can feel like a blur. While you adjust to your new environment, remember that medical librarians can help you learn more about library services and on a variety of medical topics .

👩🏻‍🏫Research Consultations

Need to tackle a tricky patient case or start a research project? Schedule a one-on-one consultation with a medical librarian. If you’re starting off as a medical student, the liaison librarian for Undergraduate Medical Education is Katie Houk. If you’re a new intern or fellow, the liaison for Graduate Medical Education is Ana Corral.

Tour the Library

Curious about the library? Need to know where to study? Take a virtual tour of the library and get to know your new space before your first visit. This short video introduces the library's study areas, services, and resources, helping you become familiar with everything the library has to offer. Whether you're looking for a quiet place to study or need research support, we're here to help you make the most of your time.

We Love Swag!

Who doesn't love orientation swag? Don’t forget to grab a library goodie bag when the librarian presents during orientation. You never know what surprises are waiting inside! It's our way of saying welcome and helping you get started with a few fun and useful items for the year ahead.

Welcome again and we look forward to supporting you in your new journeys across the field of medicine! -SOML
