Summary: This 3 roll collection highlights the investigation of the FBI's interest in the Moorish Science Temple of America and it's founder Drew Ali. Spanning over four decades (1931-1978), the files were collected geographically from various field offices including the Temple's Chicago headquarters, and other main centers of activity, particularly Baltimore and Philadelphia. The Prophet Noble Drew Ali founded the Moorish Science Temple of America in 1913, in Newark, New Jersey. The Temple offered a synthesis of orthodox Islam, Christian revivalism, and black separatism.
