Summary: This Mormon newspaper was published briefly while the Mormons were temporarily camped in Iowa during their massive migration to Utah. Orson Hyde was the first editor from Feb. 7, 1849, until 1852 when Jacob Dawson assumed editorship. Under Dawson the banner changed to Frontier Guardian and Iowa Sentinel.
