Summary: This 2 reel microfilm collection features records that are mostly instructions to and dispatches from our diplomatic and consular officials in Chile and in other states. Also included are notes between Department of State and foreign diplomatic representatives in the U.S., memoranda prepared by officials of the Department, and correspondence with officials of other government departments, with members of the U.S. Congress, and with private firms and individuals. Many entries contain information on treaties. Introduction to the series is on reel 1.
