Summary: This collection of letters and records from Indian Agents concerns the Pima Indians of Arizona and the Piqua Indians of Ohio. Not only are they a source of history about both tribes and states, but they contain information about US Goverment policy and relationships with the Pima and Piqua Indians. Piqua Agency records cover the period of early westward expansion through Ohio. Pima Agency records cover the latter days of the era of westward expansion up until the start of The Civil War.
