Summary: This 11 reel collection consists of a chronological arrangement of letters and records sent by the Osage Indian agents. Not only is this collection a source of Missouri history, but is also a source concerning US Government policy towards the Indians of Missouri. The scope of the collection covers correspondence during the Age of Expansion, the Civil War, and ends during the middle of the Reconstruction.
