Summary: This 14 reel collection includes journal, correspondence, writings, notebooks, and photographs chiefly from 1890 - 1920, relating to Charles Lummis' family and career with the Southwest Society, Southwest Museum, Sequoya League, Los Angeles Public Library, and other institutions. Letters to his wife Eva Frances in 1892 are from Peru, where Lummis was a member of the Villard Expedition. One of his notebooks chronicles his time as a reporter during the Apache campaign of 1886. Photographs include cyanotypes of antiquities, landscapes, pueblos, and Native Americans in New Mexico and Arizona.
