Summary: This 3 reel collection features FBI files on the Osage Indians in the early 1920's where it was estimated that somewhere between a dozen to two dozen Osage Indians were murdered or simply disappeared. These files contain stores of data about life and attitudes of Osage Indians and their neighbors, the impact of oil wealth on Northeastern Oklahoma, and gangsters and bootleggers. Half of these files are investigatory and half prosecutory. Also included are newspaper clippings from Oklahoma and Washington D.C., and correspondence and other material dealing with radio and film. Files for the most part are arranged in loose chronological order.
