The University Libraries has launched a new Research Data Series, a new collection of workshops meant to familiarize faculty, staff, and students alike with different data-based skills needed to carry out research.

The University Libraries has announced the Spring 2021 Online Workshop schedule, featuring more than 30 events covering a wide variety of topics utilizing tools and software for students and faculty.

The Libraries offers flexible ways to incorporate research support in your courses. For students, research can be overwhelming at the best of times. Libraries faculty are here to partner with you to make research fun, and help students through every step of the research process no matter the circumstances. 

The University Libraries, in conjunction with the Office of Information Technology, the Office of Online Education, the Faculty Center, and the UNLV Bookstore, invite faculty of all ranks and classifications to apply for the OER Faculty Learning Group.

Information regarding stipends, participant expectations, and the application process can be found on the University Libraries’ OER page. Applications are due by February 12.

In light of rising COVID-19 rates in Nevada and Gov. Steve Sisolak’s order to limit in-person gatherings, the remaining three episodes of the We Need To Talk: Discussions on Racism For A More Resilient Las Vegas series will be postponed.

Zeiter Literacy Development Center on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 4 p.m. for this virtual conversation with a panel of noted authors of Holocaust literature for children and young adults. In a time when antisemitism and all forms of bigotry are on the rise, these authors address these issues through the lens of Holocaust literature.
