Once the page is loaded you can sort through the results or add more filters for a specific title
After you have found the title you are looking for, click on the title and find its call number (ex. M1010. M57. T43. 2005)
Use this call number to find the title in the book stacks. If you cannot find the title, bring the call number to the front desk and ask for help!
The Dubai Opera House, located in downtown Dubai, is a 2,000 seat multi-format performing arts center. Designed by Janus Rostock, this venue can be converted into a concert hall, traditional theatre, or banquet hall. It was completed in 2016 and has hosted a wide range of performances including Operas, Musicals, Ballet, Theatre, Comedy, Jazz, and Pop.
The Kimmel Center is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Its creation came about in 1996 as the Philadelphia Orchestra and Mayor Edward Rendell worked together to not only find a permanent home for the orchestra, but also give space to traveling prominent performers.
Many large venues can be found within the Kimmel Center. One being Verizon Hall, a 2,500- seat concert hall, along with an upgraded Academy of Music (2,900 seats) and Merriam Theater (1,841 seats). Not to mention its smaller spaces like Perelman Theater (650 seats) and a black box theater, SEI Innovation Studio.
Within the performing arts center, there are eight resident companies. These are, The Philadelphia Orchestra, The Philly Pops, PHILADANCO, The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, The Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, Curtis Institute of Music, Opera Philadelphia and finally, the Pennsylvania Ballet.
The Verbier Festival is typically an international classical music festival held in Switzerland. This festival and retreat is an opportunity for musicians to meet, collaborate, and premier new music. This year, they have had to go virtual with video interviews, masterclasses, and streaming past performances each day by featured artists and conductors through the Medici website. Along with this, live-streamed concerts are available on the Verbier Festival website. Featured names this year are Yuja Wang, Valery Gergiev, Martha Argerich, the Capuçon brothers, Yuja Wang, Joshua Bell, Evgeny Kissin, Mischa Maisky and many more.
Missing live music? Why not watch one of the greatest conductors in action! Available for check out is a 1977 recording of Leonard Bernstein at the English Bach Festival, conducting in Saint Augustine's Church. In the recording, Bernstein conducts J. S. Bach's Magnificat and Igor Stravensky's Mass. Soloist's Anny Mory, Patricia Parker, Rodney Hardesty, John Mitchinson, and Paul Hudson join the English Bach Festival choir and Orchestra in this archived performance. Check this item out.
Located at the Millennium Park in Chicago, Illinois, the Jay Pritzker Pavilion is a hub of free cultural performances. This outdoor theater is home to the Grant Park Music Festival, the Grant Park Symphony and Chorus, and the home of NPR’s Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me. This park also hosts food festivals, world music festivals, and community holiday events. The theater is located in the large Grant Park(formerly Lake Park) along the shore of Lake Michigan. Grant Park is a large urban park that also houses Buckingham Fountain, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Museum Campus.
As our campus begins to reopen, keeping the UNLV community healthy and safe is an utmost priority for the Music Library. Upon reopening, the Music Library will fully support UNLV's campus position on requiring face coverings for entry to public spaces.
While the effectiveness of face coverings is controversial, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) insists that masks act as a barrier to control the spread of respiratory droplets coming from the nose and mouth.
Taking this simple precaution along with washing your hands frequently, avoiding touching your face, and staying home when you are not feeling well will help stop the spread of COVID-19.
Do you want to sing-along with every song from the multi awarding play Hamilton, newly released on Disney+? You are in luck! Released September 25th, 2015, The Hamilton original Broadway cast recording has preserved the music from the play into a 2 disc set complete with credits and song lyrics.
Hamilton, is an American Musical written by Lin-Manuel Miranda and based on the Alexander Hamilton biography by Ron Chernow published in 2004. The music in Hamilton melds a diverse group of genres into a uniquely American creation.

The theatre, located in Knoxville, Tennessee, originally only showed movies when it opened up in 1928. In 1981 it began a gradual shift from being only a single-screen theater to a performing arts venue with multiple uses. Restorations to the building began in 2003, and reopened in 2005 with the help of public and private donations.
Today, one can listen to classical music, watch a vintage film, or catch a performance by their favorite performer. Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, Knoxville Opera, and UT Cultural Attractions also share this theatre year round. The theater hosts wedding receptions, private parties, corporate events as well.
Performers like Kacey Musgraves, John Legend, and Young the Giant have all performed here. Broadway shows like Fiddler on the Roof have also been performed at the venue as well!

With some digging through the UNLV Music Library artifacts, I was able to find some potential treasures from the late Richard Miller, the well known professor of singing at Oberlin College Conservatory of Music. I label these as artifacts because after searching high and low on the internet, I couldn't find a digital version of these items. In fact, what I was able to find was the same thing we have here in the Music Library: VHS's. That's right, we're going old school today.
These VHS's range from about 50 to 95 minutes long, with one exception of only 8 minutes of footage. And what is the footage on the tapes you ask impatiently?
