Summary:
This 10 reel collection includes all correspondence and other documents generated or exchanged by SAI (Society of American Indians) officers and members acting on the Society's behalf. Over 5,600 items of correspondence, minutes, memoranda, reports, legal documents, newsclippings, and personal jottings comprise this collection. There are two parts to the collection. Part 1 (Series 1) consists of correspondence which is arranged alphabetically and then chronologically Part 1 (Series 2) consists of noncorrespondence items grouped by category, then chronologically. In Part 2 (Series 1) correspondence is arranged by month, and date. All noncorrespondence items (Series 2) are arranged chronologically under general categories. Part 2 (Series 3) - the newspaper clippings are arranged by year.
