This 54 reel collection contains records of instructions to and dispatches from diplomatic and consular officials; notes between the Department of State and foreign diplomatic representatives in the U.S., memorandums prepared by officials of the Department, and correspondence with officials of other government departments and with private firms and persons. Subjects includes: political and governmental affairs, public health and safety, military affairs, social and economic matters, financial and industrial conditions, immigration, communications, and transportation.
