The Libraries offers flexible ways to incorporate research support in your courses. For students, research can be overwhelming at the best of times. Libraries faculty are here to partner with you to make research fun, and help students through every step of the research process no matter the circumstances.

The University Libraries, in conjunction with the Office of Information Technology, the Office of Online Education, the Faculty Center, and the UNLV Bookstore, invite faculty of all ranks and classifications to apply for the OER Faculty Learning Group.

Information regarding stipends, participant expectations, and the application process can be found on the University Libraries’ OER page. Applications are due by February 12.

Join the Teacher Development & Resources Library, Sperling Kronberg Mack Las Vegas Holocaust Resource Center, and the Gayle A. Zeiter Literacy Development Center on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 4 p.m. for this virtual conversation with a panel of noted authors of Holocaust literature for children and young adults. In a time when antisemitism and all forms of bigotry are on the rise, these authors address these issues through the lens of Holocaust literature.

Introducing the Inventing Hollywood: Preserving and Providing Access to the Papers of Renegade Genius Howard Hughes Project Team!

The processing project team for the "Inventing Hollywood: Preserving and Providing Access to the Papers of Renegade Genius Howard Hughes" NEH grant has been hard at working surveying the collection, preparing inventories, and beginning conservation work. The team is a diverse group of students, part-time processing assistants, and a project archivist.

In celebration of International Open Access Week, the University Libraries is presenting the third annual UNLV Open Access Awards. This year's honorees represent a variety of units and researchers across campus.

Since July 2018, the University Libraries has been supporting OA publishing with the UNLV Open Article Fund. Between July 2018 through June 2020, the University Libraries:

  • Supported 52 UNLV authors, from 15 different departments
  • Paid the award to 37 different open access journals from 11 different publishers.
