Setting Up Your Visit to the University Libraries

Due to COVID-19, the UNLV campus is only open to UNLV/NSHE faculty, staff, and students. Visitors to campus are required to make an appointment to visit campus. Casual or informal visits are discouraged.

Visitors include:

  • Business and members of the general community
  • Alumni not currently affiliated with UNLV/NSHE as students or employees.

All visitors to the UNLV campus are REQUIRED to wear a facial covering or mask AND practice social distancing. Visitors must also follow the instructions of university employees while on campus.

Visiting campus libraries

Visitors to campus libraries are asked to make an appointment in advance. If you come to campus without an appointment, our ability to accommodate a visit that same day may not be possible.

If you want to visit Special Collections & Archives in Lied Library, please contact the department directly to make arrangements for your on-site visit.

Visiting the Health Sciences Library

The Health Sciences Library is open to community members at this time. Visitors may make an appointment to visit the library by emailing Please note that this location has limited staff support and minimal free parking (3-hour limit) on Tonopah Drive and Rancho Lane. Most resources are online and also available to Lied Library visitors.
