Looking for a quiet place to study? Two of the University Libraries’ popular Study Pods are now available at the Architecture Studies Library in the Sogg Architecture Building (ARC).
The pods are designed for individual students to complete their coursework, participate in remote classes, give presentations, or focus with minimal distractions. Pods 5 and 7 are located on the northeast side of the ASL across from the Reference Collection on the first floor.
Each pod is equipped with an adjustable-height stool and desk, adjustable lighting and fan, and built-in power with an AC and USB-C plugs. In addition, each pod has acoustical features to keep things quiet inside.
Reservations are required. Students can submit reservations for up to 3 hours at a time, and up to 14 days in advance.
Funds for the new Study Pods have been provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act/American Rescue Plan Act, administered by the Nevada State Library, Archives and Public Records.
Study Pods are also available in Lied Library. Pods U, N, L, and V are located near the southwest corner of the 3rd floor, at the end of the Flo Mlynarczyk gallery. Pods M, A, D, and E are located near the southwest corner of the 2nd floor, past the Leisure and Career Collections.
