A thermal laminating machine and Silhouette Cameo cutting machine are now available for students, faculty, and staff to use in the Makerspace at Lied Library.

The 24-inch thermal laminating machine is available for onsite use during regular Makerspace hours. Lamination cost 35 cents per linear foot.

The Silhouette cutting machine has a 12-by-24 inch cutting area and can cut materials up to 3 millimeters thick. Materials are available for purchase, and the machine is available on a first-come, first-served basis. You may also provide your own materials; however, staff may restrict certain materials from being used in the machine.

The Makerspace also offers 3D printing and scanning, laser cutting, etching, a CNC router, vinyl cutting, sticker making, sewing and embroidery machines, a heat press, sublimation printing, and a Cricut Maker 3. Get more details on Makerspace services.

All users must complete a mandatory Makerspace Orientation before accessing any equipment or services. Sessions are offered every weekday during the semester.

If you need assistance using any of the machines in the Makerspace, please request a consultation with a staff member in advance.
