Each of these free events is open to UNLV students and offers you a chance to test out some makerspace projects with the help of our staff experts!

Spring Into Button Making
Friday, March 22
11 a.m. - Noon
#SpringIntoCreativity and learn how buttons are made. We will help you with your creation from a design to a finished wearable button. Not sure what to make? We will have spring designs available to use.
Shadow Boxes
Wednesday, March 27
2:30-3:30 p.m.
#SpringIntoCreativity at Lied Library's Makerspace as you create your own shadow box. You can personalize your shadow box to display special memories or showcase your art! All materials and tools will be provided, and our expert guides will lead you through every step of the crafting process.

Pencil Boxes
Friday, April 5
11:00 a.m. - Noon
#SpringIntoCreativity at Lied Library as we design personalized pencil cases out of Makerspace materials. All the necessary supplies will be provided. Our experts will guide you through constructing and personalizing your own pencil box.

Watercolor 101
Monday, April 8
11:00 a.m. - Noon
#SpringIntoCreativity with a watercolor painting workshop at Lied Library's Makerspace! Experiment with watercolor painting techniques. No painting experience is necessary and you don't need to be an artist to participate. All supplies and training will be provided.

Poppin' Pets
Thursday, April 18
3:30-4:30 p.m.
#SpringIntoCreativity by creating your a fun keepsake of your pet! Learn about sublimation printing and our heat presses while creating a photo magnet or pop socket of your pet or other fun image! All supplies and training will be provided.

Soar Through The Makerspace
Wednesday, April 24
11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
#SpringIntoCreativity by designing your own airplane using clothespins! All materials and instructions will be provided for you to design and customize your plane. Drop in while supplies last.
No orientation is required to attend these events, but if you're inspired, stick around to attend one of our orientations to get full access to use the Makerspace.
