Requesting Access To Libraries Physical Collections

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, University Libraries facilities are closed and access to the physical collections is unavailable. The Libraries is committed to maintaining services and providing needed resources through virtual access.

If you need materials that are held in the Libraries please request them through the Libraries Inter-Library Loan (ILL) services. You will need an ILLiad account to make a request. If you do not have one, instructions for creating an account can be found online.

We will attempt to fill your request by providing an online version. If an online version is unavailable, we will not be able to fill your request and will notify you of this situation. We will be processing requests Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please be aware that delivery of these resources may be delayed and not delivered within the typical 24-hour period.

At this current time, ILL cannot process requests for materials on course reserve. Since the University Libraries closed on March 16, the Libraries has been working to identify reserve materials that are available electronically and we are updating reserve records to reflect this access. Please contact ASK US! for questions about materials on course reserves.

The Libraries is following the Governor’s directive to minimize non-essential services and contact. We will monitor the situation and will reassess access to physical collections as appropriate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

If you have questions about your ILLiad account please contact illiad@unlv.edu. For other questions about services and collections please contact ASK US!
