Projects

Special Collections and Archives
This Libraries department, which houses our Oral History Research Center and Center for Gaming Research, works to build world-class collections documenting Southern Nevada; foster discovery and access; safeguard collections for future generations; create new knowledge; and promote scholarship and lifelong learning.

Reflections: The Las Vegas Asian American & Pacific Islanders Oral History Project
A multi-generational oral history and community engagement project to collect and preserve the diverse history of the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities of Las Vegas and surrounding areas through the Oral History Research Center and Special Collections and Archives.

Honor With Books
A $100 donation allows you to place the name(s) of a friend or loved one on one of our special digital bookplates. Whether it’s memorializing a friend or celebrating a graduation, birthday, retirement, or wedding, these are thoughtful gifts that support the libraries.

Endowments

UNLV University Libraries hosts several endowments that you can support. These include the Flora and Stuart Mason Undergraduate Peer Research Coaches Endowment, the Dunn Family Collection Endowment and the April Becker Endowment which both support our Teacher Development and Resources Library, and the Las Vegas Oral History Program endowment, which supports our Oral History Research Center. You also may establish your own endowment. The minimum amount to establish an endowment at UNLV is $30,000.

Oral Histories/Special Collections and Archives Donations

If you would like to contribute your oral history interview, photos, maps, books, or other documents to our Special Collections and Archives, contact Sarah Quigley, Director of Special Collections and Archives, at 702-895-2293 or via email at sarah.quigley@unlv.edu.
