In January, Violet Fox joined the Special Collections & Archives team as the Digital Collections Wikimedian-in-Residence. In this grant-funded role, Violet adds information about selected collections into Wikidata, making those resources more visible to search engines and more findable by researchers.

The Center for Gaming Research at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites interested scholars to apply for the 2021-22 William R. Eadington Fellowships in Gaming Research. The Eadington Fellowship facilitates research into many aspects of both gambling and Las Vegas at UNLV Special Collections and Archives in the University Libraries.

We are pleased to welcome our first Eadington Fellow of 2021, Dr. Fred Woods who has served as a Professor of Religious Education at Brigham Young University since 1998. From 2005 to 2010, he held a Richard L. Evans Professorship of Religious Understanding and was appointed in 2019 to a BYU endowed Moral Education Professorship.
