Expertise and interests

My professional expertise is in supporting research in the life and health sciences through education in specialized resources such as those from NCBI, scholarly communications practice, data literacy, research data management, and expert searching. I am also currently working on ways librarians can support health literacy and medical humanities initiatives, particularly through graphic medicine. Outside of work I enjoy hiking and swimming, traveling to experience new cultures, and almost all things geek-related.

Expertise and interests

My professional expertise includes searching the medical literature, supporting research and evidence-based medicine instruction, effective use of library resources, point of care tools and mobile technologies used at the bedside. I am also the collections manager for the UNLV School of Medicine Library and welcome feedback and questions related to our library databases and collections.

As the librarian liaison, I am available to collaborate with all members of Graduate Medical Education to instruct and promote awareness of how our library resources and tools can help with informed patient care and research/scholarly activities. Those I support include but are not limited to: physician faculty, residents, fellows, program directors and coordinators. If you would like to discuss your scholarly project or better understand what resources are available to you (there's lots!), please select the link below to schedule an appointment.
