About
A cornerstone of UNLV’s Immersive Learning Initiatives, Dreamscape Learn leverages the power of interactivity and storytelling within immersive environments. The 4,000-square-foot VR space is a hub of immersive learning, featuring a 16-seat immersive classroom and a free-roam entertainment space featuring content that adapts the creativity from movie and theme park industries for instructional purposes.
Students experience engaging storytelling, captivating worlds, sound effects, motion haptics, lighting, music, and hands-on learning experiences. The space also includes a collaborative development space where faculty and students can learn to create their own VR content.
Dreamscape Learn harnesses the power of virtual reality and cinematic narratives to deliver educational immersive experiences for both campus-based and online courses.
Summer hours of operation
Dreamscape Learn operates during Lied Library hours. Hours may vary during holidays, finals, and intersessions.

A fully equipped VR classroom designed for structured, curriculum-aligned learning experiences. Instructors guide students through immersive content as a group, making it ideal for class sessions, demonstrations, and collaborative exploration.

Free-Roam Pod
Access: Open booking
Step untethered into another world. The free-roam pod gives participants full physical freedom
to move through an immersive VR environment with no fixed stations and no boundaries. It is an
experience that has to be felt to be understood.

Student Lobby
Access: Open to all UNLV students
Our welcoming lobby is available to UNLV students as a drop-in space for studying, collaborating, or simply spending time in an environment designed around the future of learning.
No reservation required.
VR Content Development Studio
Original VR content is developed in-house by UNLV student workers as part of the Immersive Learning Initiatives. Their work includes the student-built Virtual Rebel Experience, a landmark project that showcases what is possible when creativity meets immersive technology. In Fall 2026, the team will debut a new application centered around astronomy housed in the Dreamscape Learn Free-Roam Pod.
