Holiday Highlight 2020: The Nutcracker
Whether it be in a movie or a performing arts hall, nearly everyone has heard the iconic music from The Nutcracker. Based on E. T. A. Hoffmann's story "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King", this two part ballet was originally choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov with a score by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky Interestingly enough, The Nutcracker was not hugely popular until the 1960's!
