In light of rising COVID-19 rates in Nevada and Gov. Steve Sisolak’s order to limit in-person gatherings, the remaining three episodes of the We Need To Talk: Discussions on Racism For A More Resilient Las Vegas series will be postponed.

“We are proud of the conversations that have taken place in the first four episodes in the series,” said host Claytee White, director of the UNLV Oral History Research Center. “We believe these conversations are important and are committed to continuing the series, but we also want to protect the health and well-being of our panelists and the students and faculty who are supporting us in UNLV TV studios at the Greenspun College of Urban Affairs.”

The series is tentatively scheduled to resume in February with conversations on education, health care, and next steps. Previous episodes can be watched at www.library.unlv.edu/weneedtotalk

The We Need To Talk series is sponsored by UNLV University Libraries and the Greenspun College of Urban Affairs, with livestreaming provided by UNLV TV. Additional funding for the series was provided by Libraries Advisory Board Members Sara Mason and Geri Tomich.
