By Kee Choi on May 16, 2011 4:01 PM | Permalink
Summon, the long awaited discovery tool, is now available for a test drive.  The Library Catalog, Digital Collections, and Libguides have been indexed by Summon.

As of today, the implementation team is about halfway through the deployment process which means that you can expect some changes in the final release.  For project details and time-line, please refer to the Summon wiki page on the staff web site.

If you have any comments or questions about Summon, please leave your feedback as a comment to this blog entry.

Happy Searching!

The following text has been added under the LexisNexis Academic link. "Link to the LexisNexis Academic search screen and search their website for the item." It is set to display in red but can be changed to black.

Just starting to do some test searches. Its June 1 so I know this may be further down your list of "to do's". Conduct a search for keywords: SWOT analysis casino 113 items in search results - 1st few items are in publication "M2 Presswire". When I click on link to get text, I get the SFX screen which says the publication is in LexisNexis. Using the GO link takes me to a search screen, not the text of the item. Very few hints for the novice on what to do with this search screen - if they even use the GO button.

For practically all of the people, making money is the very first thing for to be able to build a webpage. Now how the release is complete, should submit it to various submission offerings.

when limiting search to ebooks, why do hard copy books appear in search results? I searched 'global warming' and used facets to limit to the 1,183 ebooks. On just the first page of search results there are many items that are hard copy only in UNLV collection - that's what the catalog record shows when I follow the link.

My business partners were wanting AO440 this month and were informed of a web service that hosts a searchable forms database . If others need AO440 too , here's a link "<a></a>".
