Michael's notes:

  • Should Hours be linked from the footer as well as the header?
  • Advanced Search link should move further to the right to ensure that users don't think the search box is "Advanced".
  • We'll still be using Frutiger for the Libraries logo (as in the print style guide)
  • Brian mentioned that Drupal 7 (currently the Libraries uses Drupal 6) can include Dublin Core metadata in pages, which could lead to excellent Summon integration.
  • "Text Us" should be a contact option.
  • The Computing & Technologies page should include a section for off-campus access.
  • "About" is a vague descriptor for a tab. "About Us" or "About the Libraries" is better.
  • Some discussion of the accounts page and a My Accounts link. Consensus seems to be that we should be linking to a secondary page listing all the accounts that students might need to log into. We also need to see what Campus is doing with their accounts page, and if they include the Libraries (they should!)
  • Is the wording "Locations" in the footer confusing? It doesn't necessarily make it clear that these links go to the branches, rather than to maps to the branches.
  • Branching should be listed more clearly on the home page, maybe in the middle section where we currently have Research, Collections, and Computing. Problem: This means the links will ONLY appear on the home page. Another suggestion: Put them on the side menu.
  • Is interlibrary loan a service? Or should it appear on the Collections page? Or both?
  • Computing IS a service, and should be on that page.
  • Need Services for Alumni page.
