Mini Workshop: Get Started on Blogging

By Michael Yunkin on February 23, 2010 11:21 AM | Permalink
Here is the PowerPoint from yesterday's ill-fated blogging/web writing workshop. We apologize for the technical difficulties, but have added login information for a training blog to the staff website (available only to library staff) so that you can play and practice. Please send any questions to either Michael or Brian.

Also, here's the exercise we did on web writing (in .docx format).

Update, 2/25/10: There were some questions after the session about RSS. For those interested, here's a short, good YouTube video on what RSS is and some basics on how to use it. I use Google Reader to read all the blogs I'm subscribed to, but you also might like Bloglines. Also, IE7 (and 8) and Firefox both have very basic RSS functionality built in.
