The Center for Gaming Research will host a Gaming Research Colloquium talk by Ole Bjerg of the Copenhagen Business School titled "What's in a Game? The Co-Evolution of Poker and Capitalism." Lied Library, Special Collections (third floor) Thursday, June 25, 2009 Time: 12:15 pm. This will be a challenging theoretical discussion of the links between America's favorite game and the rise of capitalism. Students and faculty in history, hotel management, and business, as well as those simply interested in poker, may find it of interest.
