What type of laptops do you check out?
Lenovo Thinkpad T420. The laptops run Windows 7 and have MS Office 10 installed. Each laptop comes with a mouse and power adaptor.
What do I need to check out a laptop?
You'll need your valid UNLV RebelCard that has been registered with the University Libraries, and a clear record (no fines, overdues, etc.). There is an annual laptop checkout agreement form that must be signed before the first checkout each academic year.
Who can check out a laptop?
UNLV students, faculty, or staff. We do not check out laptops to community users.
Where can I check out a laptop?
At the Circulation Desk near the front entrance on the first floor of Lied Library.
How long do I get the laptop?
Up to four hours depending on when you check it out. There is a $10 late charge per hour or portion of an hour the laptop is late.
When can I check out a laptop?
The last laptop checkout is 30 minutes before the building closes. All laptops are due back 15 minutes before closing. Check building hours for availability. (Hours of checkout are subject to change depending on Library hours.)
Where can I use laptops?
Our laptops are wireless; they can be used anywhere in the library.
What if the laptop is damaged or stolen while I have it checked out?
While the laptop is checked out to you, it is your responsibility. You can be charged for any repair or replacement costs up to and including the full replacement cost of the laptop.
