Requirements for Off-campus Access
A number of accounts require authentication for off-campus access. For access you need to:
- Have status as a currently enrolled/employed student, faculty, or staff member. Due to licensing restrictions required by publishers who produce electronic resources, off-campus access to the databases is limited to authorized users. Only currently enrolled students and/or currently employed staff or faculty of UNLV can access licensed databases from off-campus. Alumni are not eligible for this privilege.
Possess an activated UNLV Library Barcode or have activated your ACE account.
Use either your ACE account  or your activated RebelCard barcode and PIN  for off-campus access. You can activate your card in person at the Lied Library Circulation Desk or at one of the branch libraries to establish a PIN. For more information contact the Circulation Department at 895-2111.

Have Web access and Internet Explorer version 6 or later, Firefox version 1 or later, Google Chrome version 4 or later, or the most recent version of Safari.
You must be running Internet Explorer version 6.x or above, Firefox version 1 or above, or the most current version of Safari to connect from off-campus. Some databases only work with certain browsers.
Once you meet all of the requirements simply click on the database  you wish to use. You should see a screen asking for your Ace account username and password or for your library barcode and PIN.
