The UNLV University Libraries and Department of Art are hosting an Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon focused on women and non-binary artists of color on Wednesday, March 27 from 2-5 p.m. in the Amargosa Room at Lied Library.
The edit-a-thon is an event where you can quickly help expand the world’s most popular online research tool. People of all gender identities and expressions are welcome to participate. It's a great way to do your part to close the gender gap, acquire new skills, and improve Wikipedia!
Join our effort to contribute to Art+Feminism’s campaign to improve coverage of cis and transgender women, non-binary folks, feminism, and the arts on Wikipedia.
No previous Wikipedia editing experience is necessary; training and resources will be provided. Feel free to bring your own laptop and charger, though some will be provided.
RSVP encouraged and snacks will be provided. For more information about the event, visit http://bit.ly/ArtFem.
If you have questions, please contact Chelsea Heinbach, Teaching and Learning Librarian at chelsea.heinbach@unlv.edu
This event is free and open to students, faculty, staff, and the community.
