What do you visualize when you think of your research? A science lab? Microscopic organisms? A painting? Whatever it is, we want to see it too.
Take a photo or create an inspiring image that captures the essence of your research and enter it in the Image of Research Contest. Sponsored by the UNLV University Libraries and hosted in conjunction with UNLV Research Week, the Image of Research Contest showcases the different, daring, and diverse research taking place at UNLV and in the Las Vegas community.
In addition to the image, entries must also include a 50-100 word description of the image and how it connects to your research efforts.
Entries will be judged on the connection between the image, text, and research, originality, and visual impact. The images and descriptions will be evaluated by an interdisciplinary panel of judges.
Submit your entry in one of three categories: Undergraduate and Graduate Students, Faculty and Staff, and Community Members. The winner in each category will receive a $100 cash prize. Winners will be announced during the University Libraries Open House on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 4:30 p.m. in the Lied Library Goldfield Room.
