Michelle Light, UNLV Libraries
Michelle Light, director of UNLV University Libraries’ Special Collections, was selected to participate in Leadership Las Vegas, Southern Nevada’s prestigious executive development program.

Developed by the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce, the 10-month program educates participants about the opportunities and challenges in Las Vegas and engages them as change agents to better the local community.

The Chamber of Commerce selects candidates based on their dedication to the community and professional achievement. Light has a decorated 16-year career that includes the University of Michigan School of Information’s 2014 Distinguished Alumni Award and induction as a fellow of the Society of American Archivists, and she has been instrumental in preserving the history of Las Vegas in her current role at UNLV.
