Borrow It Now: A Direct Request Service from Our Catalog

By Michael Yunkin on August 18, 2015 10:47 AM | Permalink

The BorrowItNow service allows users to access to a virtual union catalog which spans across 35 research library partners of UNLV libraries (the Greater Western Library Alliance).  You can directly search the catalog and request books based on real time availability which means that requests are processed quicker and arrive sooner.

How does it work?

1. When you need books not owned or currently unavailable from UNLV libraries, click “BorrowItNow” in the catalog.

2. Select a record you want from the search result.

3.  Click “Request.”

4.  This takes you to UNLV's Interlibrary Loan (ILL) logon page. Login or if you don’t have ILL account, click “First Time Users Click Here” button to register.

5.  After login, the ILL loan form will appear with all information already filled in. Click the “Submit  Information” button at the bottom.  That’s it!
