The Data Visualization & GIS Specialist, helps researchers with diverse backgrounds identify and work with a variety of data-related tools, and provides instructional sessions and workshops.
The Data Visualization and GIS Specialist partners with instructors to develop course-integrated data visualization instruction and hands-on workshops. Previous instruction included technical skills such as building infographics and timelines; software-specific skills such as ArcGIS and TimelineJS; and more theoretical classes like Visual Literacy and GIS: Uses and Challenges in Solving Urban Problems. We work with each instructor to create a learning experience that aligns with course learning outcomes.
