Spaces

The UNLV Libraries currently operates two library spaces on the UNLV Shadow Lane Campus. It is important to review and understand the following policies if you wish to use the library spaces:

  • Acceptable Use of Computing and Information Technology Resources Policy

Health Sciences Library

The Health Sciences Library is located in room 520 of the 2040 West Charleston Blvd. building. It is open to all who study, work, or visit the health sciences campus, including the community. See the Access & Use page for more information on how to visit us.

The Health Sciences Library space has a capacity of approximately 90 people and contains:

  • Two study rooms with interactive media screens
    • One ten-person room
    • One eight-person room
  • Four study booths
    • Wired with four usb and two power ports
  • Four study pods
    • Wired with two usb and one power port
  • Five study tables
    • Wired with four usb and two power ports
  • Five moveable whiteboards
  • Eight wall-mounted whiteboardsv
  • Eight moveable lounge seats with laptop desks

Medical School InfoCommons

The InfoCommons is located at 1001 Shadow Lane and access is restricted to UNLV School of Medicine students, faculty and staff with access cards. Parking is available to those with current UNLV parking passes.

The InfoCommons space has a capacity of approximately 200 people and contains:

  • Five study rooms with interactive media screens
    • eight-person capacity
  • Four group study booths
    • Wired with 4 usb and 2 power ports
  • Five large study tables
  • 30 moveable lounge seats with laptop desks
  • Six moveable whiteboards
  • Four moveable power station towers
