Print, Copy, & Scan

Printing

The UNLV Libraries have a pay to print model in order to sustain paper, toner and equipment. Please read instructions carefully or ask for assistance. Printing at the Health Sciences Library and Medical School InfoCommons requires an ACE Account and money in a RebelCard account. You do not need a physical ID, only an NSHE number and ACE Account.

Costs

  • Black and white: $0.03 per page
  • Color: $0.40 per page

To add money to your RebelCash account, visit the RebelCard Services Center online or deposit cash using your RebelCard ID and a machine at main campus.

 

Directions (from a library computer)

  1. Download the document you wish to print to the desktop
  2. Go to the print menu
    • Be sure to change the settings to black & white if you do not need to print in color
  3. Send the document to the printer option: “Find printer”
  4. Open a browser and go to https://rebelprint.unlv.edu/
    • Login with your ACE Account
  5. Find your document in the queue and click on [print] in the Actions column
  6. Find the printer available at your location and click on the blue link to release
    • Printers A & B labeled HSL are located at the InfoCommons
    • Printer C labeled 2040 is at the Health Sciences Library

Mobile RebelPrint
NOTE: You must change your document to black and white before uploading it to mobile print.

  1. On your personal device, open a browser and go to https://rebelprint.unlv.edu/
    • Login with your ACE Account
  2. Select “Web Print” from the left menu
  3. Click on “Submit a Job”
  4. Click on “Select printer from a list” at the bottom of the page and scroll to find HSL printers A, B & C
    • Printers A & B are at the InfoCommons and printer C is at the HSL
  5. Select the number of copies you’d like to print
  6. Upload the document(s) in an appropriate file format.
  7. Select upload and complete to have the document entered in the print queue for the selected printer.
  8. Follow steps 4-6 above to release your print job.

 

Copying

Copying requires a RebelCard and has the same costs as printing.

Directions

  • Swipe your RebelCard at the copier you wish to use
  • Follow the instructions on the touchpad
  • Your account will be charged for the number of copies made

 

Scanning

Scanning to email or saving to a usb drive is free at all library locations.

Scanning at the Health Sciences Library

  • To scan using the printer/copier, swipe your RebelCard
  • Follow the instructions on the touchpad for entering your email address and scanning preferences
  • To scan using a flatbed scanner and no RebelCard
    • Login to the computer with your ACE account
    • Find the Canon scanning software in the Windows menu
    • Follow the directions for scanning and save to the desktop
    • Email to yourself or follow the directions above to print

Scanning at InfoCommons

  • Swipe your RebelCard at the scanner/copier you wish to use
  • Follow the instructions on the touchpad for entering your email address and scanning preferences

 

Disputing Charges

The library will consider refundung or waiving print charges if there is an identified technological problem with the computers, printers, scanners, or printing system software. Notify the service desk staff if you feel this type of problem has occurred.
