My professional expertise is in supporting research in the life and health sciences through education in specialized resources such as those from NCBI, scholarly communications practice, data literacy, research data management, and expert searching. I am also currently working on ways librarians can support health literacy and medical humanities initiatives, particularly through graphic medicine. Outside of work I enjoy hiking and swimming, traveling to experience new cultures, and almost all things geek-related.

My professional expertise includes training in specialized health sciences resources and the ability to offer workshops for those resources. I also contribute to systematic reviews and provide education about the process of conducting systematic reviews in the health sciences.​ Outside of work, I enjoy and appreciate all things artsy. I also dabble a bit with metal, wire and other materials to create unique pieces of jewelry.

My professional expertise is in providing education and instruction within the curriculum for students and faculty, understanding evidence based practice and processes, and supporting scholarly research through instruction and outreach. My research interests include taking a closer look at diversity, equity, and inclusion as it relates to higher education, partnering with community health providers and researchers to support and improve health literacy, particularly among marginalized and underrepresented communities, and precision medicine. In my free time I enjoy attending concerts, learning about local history, camping, fishing, and creating pop culture themed cross stitch art for my family and friends.

My professional expertise includes supporting research and evidence-based medicine instruction, effective use of library resources, point of care tools and mobile technologies, knowledge of patient care and hospital policy, and conducting data-driven collection assessments. I'm currently exploring how evidence-based instruction is utilized in a Graduate Medical Education program.

Outside of work, I'm an amateur travel photo enthusiast, avid movie goer, especially during the summer blockbuster season (a favorite of our household) and a newbie foodie discovering new eateries around Las Vegas to enjoy with friends and family.
