    The University Libraries has partnered with the UNLV Writing Center to offer students extended hours for getting assistance with writing projects. During the Spring 2019 semester, the UNLV Writing Center will have walk-in hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays (excluding Spring Break) from 5-8 p.m. in the Amargosa Room at Lied Library. The pilot project will run from January 29 - May 2. The project aims to provide students with a quiet space for one-on-one consultations with Writing Center staff. Visit the Writing Center for more information about their services.

  • Eadington Fellow Colloquium - Dorothy Barenscott

    Dorothy Barenscott is an Assistant Professor of modern and contemporary art history and theory in the Department of Fine Arts in Kwantlen Polytechnic University Her research will explore how fine art was used to rebrand and redefine Las Vegas casino resorts in the 1990s by examining the designers, architects, and art historians who assisted corporate leaders in bringing fine art to the Strip. Barenscott will present a public talk on her research "The Role of Art and Spatial Aesthetics in the Rebranding of Vegas."
