    This workshop will help you learn about ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) and pick up tips for making the most out of your account. You'll create an ORCID iD (if you don't already have one) and we'll discuss specific functions of ORCID that will help you to use it more effectively. Plus: You'll get a certificate! The Open Researcher and Contributor ID registry A free, persistent, unique number which identifies you as a researcher An ID that travels with you throughout your career no matter where you work Why sign up for an ORCID iD?   • University Libraries Student Assistant Job Fair

    The University Libraries will be hosting a Student Assistant Job Fair on Friday, August 24 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the Amargosa Room on the first floor of Lied Library. Students can drop in to learn about job opportunities at the University Libraries, meet with supervisors, and fill out an online applications.   • UNLV Welcome Weeks Scavenger Hunt

    From Aug. 28-30, the UNLV Welcome Weeks Scavenger Hunt 2018 will introduce students to university resources, jump starting your success in the fall semester! From the Academic Success Center to Lied Library and everywhere in between, the scavenger hunt is an opportunity to check out our locations, receive a prize at each stop, and be in the running to receive one of our grand prizes. The Scavenger Hunt will end with up to our Pre-Premier Party on Thursday, Aug. 30 from 3-5 p.m. where students are invited to socialize, eat, relax, and win more prizes! Grand prize winners will be announced at this event. Scavenger Hunt participants will be entered into the drawing first, and will have a higher chance of winning prizes.

Come out and grab some food, relax, meet new people, and win some prizes along the way.
