An article published by Erin Rinto, Teaching and Learning Librarian, and Melissa Bowles-Terry, Head of Educational Initiatives, was recently selected by the Library Instruction Round Table as a top 20 article on library instruction for 2016.

“Assessing the scope and feasibility of first-year students’ research paper topics,” co-authored with former Information Literacy Fellow Ariel Santos and published in College & Research Libraries, shares results from an analysis of students’ research paper topic selections. The study was designed to provide information for librarians and instructors to assist students in selecting or narrowing topics for better/greater researchability.

The Library Instruction Round Table, part of the American Library Association, works to help librarians improve instruction through professional development, research, and networking.
